Dear Teardrop Community,
The safety and well-being of our families and of our volunteers is of the utmost importance.
While the situation around Corona Virus keeps evolving, we’re closely monitoring government and official public health organisation announcements for guidance, and following this government advice, we are very sad to have to make changes to some of our upcoming events.
Regrettably we are required to cancel all support groups until further notice, this includes North Shields, Ashington and Rainbow and Sunshine Group. Please be advised, however, that we are continually looking at different ways that we can support those who need our help in a responsible manner and with appropriate safety measures in place.
All planned events for the foreseeable future have been postponed or cancelled, pending further government advice.
Hopefully we can bring you news soon of rearranged dates. We will update everyone as soon as we know more.
Please note that the Great North Run, of which TearDrop is always greatly supported, has unfortunately been cancelled in 2020. As we know more regarding how or if places can be rolled over to 2021, we will let those affected know.
We want to reassure everyone that our befrienders will be available to chat via our Befriender Phone, Facebook Pages or Email over this period. Please do get in touch if you need anything at all.
Thank you all for your continued support, in the meantime, take care of yourself and each other. Wash your hands and sanitise. And, although we’d love to see everyone, if you do have any symptoms, make the sofa your home.
