Teardrop support group

SUPPORTING FAMILIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE DEATH OF A BABY THROUGH MISCARRIAGE, STILLBIRTH, NEONATAL DEATH OR TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY DUE TO FETAL ABNORMALITY

Below is the run down for our plans during #BLAW 2019! Help us drive and raise awareness, around baby loss, by getting involved.

🍰🍰🍰 All week - Teardrop Great British Baby Loss Bake Off πŸ°πŸ°

Who doesn’t love cake!!! We want to get everyone involved in our Bake Off. Please help us fundraise by taking part in your own Bake Off Sales & Coffee Mornings. We are asking you, throughout BLAW, to make (or buy, we wont tell anyone) tasty treats, take them into work, clubs, groups you might go to, family gatherings, anywhere you like and help us raise awareness for Baby Loss. Send us your photos and updates throughout the week for our social media pages!

β˜•οΈ Monday 7th - Ashington Group β˜•οΈ

Our Ashington Group will run as normal, during this group we will be making Leaf Tea Lights and painting stones to take home.
Teardrop will be providing all materials so a big welcome along to this session. If you haven’t been to one of our groups before, this is a perfect opportunity to come along for support and a little bit of craft therapy.

πŸ‘«πŸ‘πŸ‘¬ Tuesday 8th - Teardrop Who’s Who πŸ‘¬πŸ‘πŸ‘«

Our Teardrop Community comes together in various different ways, some of you we have met, some are supported from afar, some of our members don’t require support, but find comfort in knowing we are there.
We would like to formally introduce ourselves again, and tell you a little bit about ourselves. We will share our stories, tell you about our angels, why we became a Teardrop Befriender, and what our hopes are for Baby Loss Awareness Week.

πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° Wednesday 9th - Your Donations πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°

Teardrop is entirely voluntary funded, we rely on fundraising and donations to continue the support we give to our families. Without the generosity of our Teardrop community, parents, families, friends and supporters, we couldn’t do all of the amazing things we do year on year.
Throughout the day we will be giving you information on all of the wonderful achievements we have managed to complete this year & where all of your kind donations have been spent and where we hope to use the money we raise throughout BLAW.

πŸ’πŸ’ Thursday 10th Thoughts of professionals πŸ’πŸ’ ** FACEBOOK ONLY EVENT **

We recognise that throughout your journey in Baby Loss, you will come into contact with a number of professionals. We have spoken to many people, who work within the hospital, to find out their thoughts and feelings around baby loss, and how it affects them, on the other side of supporting you, as a bereaved parent.
It can be important for example to know that their baby is being cared for, treated with dignity, talked to, not alone. We wanted to let you know that professionals, especially within NSECH hospital, care so much about you and your little one.

🌈🍰🌈 Friday 11th - Rainbow Bake Sale πŸŒˆπŸ°πŸŒˆ

Our Rainbow group will be hosting a cake sale at Morpeth Leisure Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to come along and help us raise money. Bring your Rainbows & Sunshines along to help sell our tasty cakes. There is a great play area Morpeth Leisure Centre, where you can also purchase refreshments and have a chat to other Rainbow Parents. Befrienders will be available on the day for any support.

πŸ›’πŸ›’πŸ›’ Saturday 12th - Bag Pack πŸ›’πŸ›’πŸ›’

Come along and lend a hand, or just come and see us at our Cramlington ASDA bag pack from 10am – 2pm. You’ll spot us in our Teardrop Tshirts. We hope this will be a fantastic opportunity to raise money for Teardrop, so let us pack your shopping and donate us your pennies! We thank Jackie and Cramlington Asda again for your continued support and fundraising.
